Nexen held the lead at 3-1 after 3 innings of play. Both teams came up big in the 4th, with SK scoring 4 runs off of a walk, 3 singles, and a double from center fielder Kim Kang-Min. Kim was hot today, finishing the game 3-3 with 3 doubles, a walk, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. SK lead 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 4th where Nexen's Lim Byung-Wook came through with a pinch hit 3-run homer to reclaim the lead for the Heroes which they would hold onto until the end of the game.

Samsung 5 - LG 2, Daegu [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

LG finished the game with more hits (9) than Samsung (6), but didn't end up with much to show for it. The Twins stranded 8 runners on base, while Samsung took advantage of run scoring opportunities. Samsung's Dutch starter Rick VandenHurk pitched 4 scoreless innings, giving up just 2 hits for the win. LG starter and former MLBer Ryu Jae-Kuk did not fare as well, allowing 3 hits, 3 walks, and 3 earned runs in just 3 1/3 innings.

NC 2 - Hanwha 2, Daejeon [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

NC took the early lead on an RBI single from first baseman Eric Thames in the top of the 1st. The Dinos held on to the 1-0 lead until the bottom of the 6th when Hanwha tied the game up at 1-1 following an RBI single by Choi Jin-Haeng. Each team scored a run in the 7th, including a solo homerun from Hanwha center fielder Felix Pie. Pie's homerun would be the last score of the day, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
