Nexen 1 - KIA 0, Seoul (Mokdong)

This was a battle of the current top two teams in the league standings, and the first sellout of the year at Mokdong stadium. Both teams showed some excellent pitching. The only run scored in the game was a solo homerun by Nexen's Park Byung-Ho in the bottom of the 5th. KIA's Yang Hyeon-Jong pitched a complete game, allowed only 4 hits, but still earned his first loss of the season. Nexen's Andy Van Hekken earned the win and improved to 3-2 on the season. Nexen has now won four games in a row, and nine of their last ten. The two teams will meet again Saturday afternoon in Mokdong.

Samsung 10 - Lotte 3, Busan (Sajik)

This game was over as soon as it started. Samsung scored seven runs in the top of the 1st. Lotte starter Ko Won-Jun allowed six hits, including one home run, two walks, and Lotte shortstop Mun Kyu-Hyeon committed an error, while ten Samsung batters reached the plate... all in the first inning. Ko was pulled before the end of the inning and Kim Soo-Wan came in to clean up the mess, recording the final out of the inning, but the damage had already been done. FInal score: 10-3.

Hanwha 5 - SK 1, Daejeon

Hanwha starting pitcher Kim Hyuk-Min pitched an excellent 7 2/3 innings, allowing just four hits and 2 walks. Kim broke his four game losing streak and earned his first win of the season. On the other side, SK's Jo-Jo Reyes picked up his first loss of the seaason. Hanwha isn't looking as bad as the team that lost 13 in a row to open the season, at least not tonight. SK, on the other hand, has only won three of their last ten games, the worst record in the league over that span.

LG 6 - Doosan 3, Seoul (Jamsil)

The Twins scored first against their Jamsil rivals Doosan, putting three funs on the board in the top of the 1st, which would prove to be the difference in the game. The two teams traded a few runs back and forth later in the game, but LG held the lead throughout. LG broke their three-game losing streak after being swept by newcomers NC earlier in the week.
