Samsung 2 - Nexen 1, Pohang [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

Samsung took the early 1-0 lead on an RBI single from designated hitter Lee Seung-Yeop in the bottom of the 1st. Nexen would tie the score at 1-1 on an RBI double by catcher Hur Do-Hwan in the top of the 3rd. The tie, however, would not last long, as Samsung retook the lead for good in the bottom of the 4th when catcher Lee Ji-Young drove in Kim Tae-Wan from second base. Both teams managed to put several runners on base, but there was no scoring during the final 5 innings and the game ended 2-1. Nexen has only won 2 of their last 10 games and appears to be in real danger of falling out of the playoff picture, with Lotte now only 2 games behind them.

LG 4 - KIA 3, Gunsan [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

LG scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st and never trailed in this game. KIA fought back, scoring 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th. The game winner for LG came in the form of an RBI triple by second baseman Son Joo-In in the top of the 6th inning. Ryu Jae-Kuk was the winning pitcher for LG, while Bong Jung-Keun earned his 30th save of the season. The loss went to KIA's Henry Sosa. Sosa has not earned a win since June 19th, nearly 2 months ago. His struggles reflect the struggles of the team. The Tigers have lost 5 games in a row and 8 of their last 10.

Lotte 5 - NC 3, Busan [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

Lotte scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd for an early 3-0 lead. Each team scored 1 run in the 5th to bring the score to 4-1. Lotte added 1 more in the bottom of the 8th on Hwang Jae-Gyun's RBI single. NC's Cho Yeong-Hun hit a 2-run homerun in the top of the 9th to bring the score to 5-3, but that's as close as the Dinos would be able to get. Lotte's Kim Sa-Yul earned the win after allowing 4 hits and 1 run in 6 innings. It was Kim's first win as a starter since September 19, 2002. NC's Adam Wilk was stuck with the loss after giving up 3 runs and 4 hits in just 2 innings.

Doosan 4 - SK 1, Seoul (Jamsil) [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

SK scored their only run of the night on an RBI single by Choi Jeong in the top of the 1st. The rest of the game was all Doosan. The Bears scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd to take the lead and added a run each in the 6th and 7th. Doosan starting pitcher No Kyeong-Eun pitched 7 innings, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 7 batters for the win. The loss went to SK's Yoon Hi-Sang. Doosan may be the hottest team in the league right now, having won 5 games in a row and 8 of their last 10.
