Kia 1 - Samsung 2, Daegu [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

Aside from Samsung first baseman Lee Seung-Yeop's triple in the bottom of the second, the game remained hitless through the 4th. The 5th saw matching singles from both teams, but neither side was able to capitalize. Finally, in the 7th inning, Samsung drew first blood, with short stop Kim Sang-Su scoring and Lee Seung-Yeop's bat driving in the run. Samsung pinch hitter Mun Seon-Yeob was thrown out on the basepath and Kia pitcher Han Seung-Hyeok balked, so the Tigers were lucky to allow only the one run. In the bottom of the 8th, Kia struck back when catcher Baek Yong-Hwan's triple led to a run on an error by Kim Jae-Hyeon. Their celebration was short lived, though, as losing pitcher Park Joon-Pyo walked two consecutive batters to push left fielder Lee Sang-Hun home and give pinch hitter Kim Tae-Wan the game winning 'good eye' RBI. Samsung's Cho Hyeon-Keun was credited with the win for 1 1/3 inning's work, with one unearned run.

Lotte 5 - NC 1, Masan [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

Lotte was on the board first in the top of the 3rd with double doubles by third baseman Hwang Jae-Gyun and catcher Lee Seung-Hwa (RBI). The Dinos tied it up in the 5th when a sacrifice bunt by right fielder Lee Jong-Wook advanced catcher Kim Tae-Goon to second, allowing him to score off first baseman Eric Thames double. In the top of the 6th Lotte had a two out rally which saw first baseman Jang Sung-Ho drive in the game winning run. The following inning the Giants put the game out of reach by capitalizing on back to back walks to have a three run inning. The game ended anticlimactically when the Dino's couldn't capitalize on two walks in the bottom of the 9th and first baseman Lee Hyun-Gon left both runners stranded, striking out looking.

Doosan 3 - Nexen 10, Seoul (Mokdong) [Box Score] [Video Highlights]

Oh Jae-Young, Nexen's starting pitcher, got off to a rocky start by allowing three runs in the first two innings, including a two run blast by left fielder Kim Hyun-Soo in the 1st. He settled down, though, retiring seven batters in a row before stepping out after the 4th, allowing the Hero's bullpen to add another five impressive hitless innings. Nexen's bats picked up the slack, scoring ten unanswered runs with Doosan reliever Byeon Jin-Soo taking the brunt of the beating by allowing six earned runs in the 6th on four hits, three bases on balls and a wild pitch. The win was awarded to Moon Sung-Hyun in what was a great outing overall for the Hero's pitching staff and Kim Min-Seong batted in the game winning run but he was just one of a total of eight Nexen batters who batted in runs.

SK 4 - Hanhwa 1, Daejeon [Box Score]

The Wyverns took advantage of the Eagles poor pitching to coast to an easy win. Lim Hun hit an RBI double in the top of the 2nd inning that allowed Chang Sung-Ho (on base via a walk) to score and put the Wyverns on the board rom which they never looked back. The Eagles pitching kept them in trouble, with another six walks (two of which leading to runs) and catcher Lee Jae-Won hit by a pitch. Hanhwa backed up the lackluster perfomance on the mound with an equally weak performance at the plate. Back to back doubles by Jung Hyeon-Seok and Kim Min-Soo (RBI) in the bottom of the 8th scored the lone Eagles run of the game. Jo-Jo Reyes took the win even though he had some control issues, walking four in four innings.
