Lotte 8 - LG 2, Seoul (Jamsil)

LG starting pitcher Ben Jukich gave up 4 runs early, and was yanked after just 3 1/3 innings.  Even after today's loss, the Twins have won 9 of their last 11 games. What do the two losses have in common? Ben Jukich was the starting pitcher. Following the loss, Jukich was sent down to LG's Futures League team. The question remaining is who will replace him in the starting rotation. First baseman Park Jong-Yun had a good game for Lotte, hitting 2 doubles for 3 RBIs. The win went to starting pitcher Lee Jae-Kon and the Giants avoided the sweep.

Hanwha 8 - SK 4, Incheon

It was the second straight game between these two teems to go to extra innings, with the score tied 4-4 after 9. Hanwha would take the lead in the top of the 11th on 2 singles, 2 doubles, a walk, and a hit batsmen to score a total of 4 for the inning. The Wyverns came up empty in the bottom half and the final score was 8-4. Chris Seddon pitched 7 scoreless innings for SK, allowing just 4 hits, but the Eagles did their scoring late, and Seddon wound up with the no decision. Reliever Lee Jae-Yeong ended up with the loss, while Yoon Keun Young was credited with the win for Hanwha.

Samsung 4 - Doosan 2, Daegu

In another close game down in Daegu, the score was tied 2-2 after 5 innings of play. The game winner would come in the bottom of the 7th for Samsung. Kim Tae-Wan leadoff the inning with a doule. A triple by Kim Sang-Su would bring the go-ahead run home. The Lions would score one more off a single by Bae Yeong-Seop. The final score of 4-2 gave Samsung the win and the series sweep over the Doosan Bears. Doosan has now lost 5 games in a row.

KIA 6 - Nexen 4, Seoul (Mokdong)

KIA took the early lead in this one, going up 6-1 after 6 innings. Nexen would attempt a comeback, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th, but KIA closer Anthony Lerew shut down the Heroes in the bottom of the 9th to earn the save. KIA won the series 2 games to 1, and the Heroes dropped back into a tie with Samsung for first place.
