NC left fielder Kim Jong-Ho lead off the bottom of the 1st with a homerun to give the Dinos an early 1-0 lead. NC managed to extend the lead to 4-0 in the 2nd, but the rest of the game belonged to the Lotte Giants. The Giants recorded a total of 16 hits, 4 of which were homeruns, including a grand slam by DH Jang Sung-Ho in the top of the 7th. NC pitcher Thad Weber had an OK start, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs in 4 innings, but the Giants batters made it look easy against the NC bullpen. Lotte completed the sweep of the 2-game pre-season series and will face the Doosan Bears in Gimhae on Tuesday, while the Dinos will host the LG Twins in Masan.
Doosan DH Hong Seong-Heun hit a solo-homerun in the top of the 2nd to put the Bears ahead 2-0. Doosan answered with a run each in the 2nd and 3rd innings to tie the score at 2-2. Nexen's scoring continued in the bottom of the 5th with a 2-RBI double from pinch hitter Lee Taek-Keun to put the Heroes ahead 4-2. The lead would hold until the top of the 8th where Nexen reliever Kang Yoon-Koo walked 3 batters and gave up a single, tying the score at 4-4. Both teams came up empty in the 9th and the game ended in a 4-4 tie. (Extra innings are not played during pre-season games.)

The score was tied at 1 run each after 3 innings. KIA took the lead for good in the top of the 4th on a 2-RBI triple by catcher Baek Yong-Hwan. The Tigers would build on the lead, adding one more run in the 5th and a big four runs in the 8th to seal the victory. Samsung starting pitcher Bae Young-Soo, who lead the league in wins last year, earned the loss. The win was credited to KIA starter Song Eun-Beom who gave up 3 hits and 1 run in 4 innings of work. The Lions will try to bounce back against the SK Wyverns in Daegu on Tuesday, while KIA will continue their road trip, heading to Seoul to face the Nexen Heroes.
SK scored in the top of the 1st on a sac fly by Lee Jae-Won to bring home center fielder Kim Kang-Min who reached base on a leadoff double. The Wyverns put runners on base in 6 of the 8 remaining innings, but failed to score any additional runs. Hanwha tied up the game in the bottom half of the 1st on an RBI single by DH Choi Jin-Haeng. The Eagles would add 2 more runs off a pair of solo homeruns by Jung Hyun-Seok in the 2nd and Kim Hea-Seong in the 6th.
