LG 5 - Hanwha 3, Seoul (Jamsil)

Hanwha lead for most of the game, leading 3-0 heading into the 8th inning. LG came up huge in the bottom of the 8th?, scoring all five of their runs in one inning. Right fielder Lee Byeong-Kyu came up big for the Twins. He hit an RBI double, and a few at-bats later he kept the inning alive by pushing Hanwha catcher Park No-Min out of the way, avoiding the tag on a close play at the plate with 2 outs. Bong Jung-Keun pitched the 9th for LG, shutting down the Eagles and earning the save.

LG 8th inning highlights

Lotte 8 - Doosan 6, Busan (Sajik)

The Giants had a couple of big innings early on, leading 7-2 after 4 innings. The Bears took a shot at the comeback, scoring 4 runs in the top of the 6th, but it wasn't enough to catch up with Lotte. The final score was 8-6. Today it wasn't Doosan's bullpen that failed, but rather starting pitcher Kim Sun-Woo who gave up most of the runs. Lotte completed the 3 game sweep of the Bears, and the two teams swapped places in the league standings, with Lotte moving up to 4th and Doosan dropping down to 5th.

Samsung 5 - SK 4, Incheon (Munhak)

Samsung took the early lead, going ahead 5-1 after 3 innings of play. SK would score 3 in the bottom of the 6th, but they couldn't quite catch up to the Lions. SK third baseman Choi Jeong hit a solo homerun in the top of the 1st, his 13th homerun of the season, leading the league. Samsung was lead by DH Choi Hyeong-Woo, who had a part to play in all 5 of Samsun's runs. Choi went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. With the win (and Nexen's loss) the Lions are once again tied for first place in the league.

NC 7 - Nexen 1, Seoul (Mokdong)

Any time that your team has more errors than hits, you're probably not going to win. That's just what happened to the Heroes tonight. Nexen finished the game with 3 errors and 2 hits. 2 of the errors were committed by shortstop Kang Jung-Ho. Kang is usually a solid fielder, having won the league's gold glove award in 2010. Kang also scored Nexen's only run, a solo homerun in the top of the 2nd. The rest of the game belonged to the NC Dinos. Designated hitter Lee Ho-Jun went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 1 run scored, while starting pitcher Lee Jae-Hak went 6 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 run to earn the win.
